Concept maps are powerful ways to organize your document and to see your document in context, but it's also a powerful way to illustrate and explore specific points in and off themselves, so you can always choose to 'insert concept map' where you can create a concept map from scratch which will appear like an image but will expand into a full screen space when double clicked/tapped, for editing and analysis. When you collapse it back down you can choose to keep any changes as a new version of the map or revert to what it looked like when you opened it.
